Seven categories of anonymized data
All dates reduced to year + quarter only. All animal IDs replaced with random codes (ANIMAL-00001). No names, addresses, or contact info ever included.
Privacy & ethics
Built on consent. Protected by design.
Explicit Opt-In
Only data from users who actively opt into the research program is ever included. No default inclusion.
Full Anonymization
Names, IDs, addresses, and precise dates are stripped server-side before any data is returned. ANIMAL-00001 codes replace all real IDs.
DUA Required
All institutions must sign a Data Use Agreement before receiving API access. We maintain records of all access grants.
Tier-Based Permissions
Each API key has explicit species, data type, and query volume limits. You only get what you're approved for.
Full Audit Trail
Every query is logged — timestamp, IP, record count, execution time. Available to your IRB on request.
No Re-identification
K-anonymity enforced — minimum 5 animals per species/condition cell. Queries returning fewer than 5 unique animals are suppressed.
