Is AniLedger Desktop really free?+

Yes. Desktop is a free companion app included with any AniLedger mobile subscription. No additional cost, no separate purchase. Download it, sign in with your AniLedger account, and everything syncs.

Does it work on both Windows and Mac?+

Yes. AniLedger Desktop is available for Windows 10/11 (64-bit) and macOS 12 Monterey or later (Intel and Apple Silicon).

Do I need a mobile subscription first?+

Yes. The desktop app syncs with your mobile account. Start a subscription on iOS or Android (7-day free trial on all plans), then download the desktop app and sign in.

Does the desktop app handle payments or billing?+

No. AniLedger never handles payments directly. The POS integration connects to your existing billing system (Square, IDEXX, etc.) so you can link health records to invoices without double entry. All payments stay in your current system.

What file formats can I import?+

CSV (.csv), Excel (.xlsx, .xls), and tab-separated (.tsv). We also support direct exports from IDEXX Cornerstone, Covetrus Pulse/AVImark, eVetPractice, and Shepherd.

Is my data secure between desktop and mobile?+

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Desktop communicates with your POS systems directly from your computer — no middleman servers. Cloud sync uses bank-grade encryption.
