Track breeding records, build multi-generation pedigrees, share lineage via QR codes, and monitor heat cycles.

📝Breeding Records

  1. From the animal's profile, tap "Breeding."
  2. Tap "+ Add Breeding Record."
  3. Enter the breeding date, partner animal (sire or dam), and breeding method.
  4. Record the outcome: number of offspring, birth dates, and any complications.
  5. Link offspring to your registry if they're also in AniLedger.

Breeding records build your animal's reproductive history, which is essential for pedigree tracking and breed association reporting.

🌳Pedigree / Family Tree

  1. From the animal's profile, tap "Pedigree" or "Family Tree."
  2. View the visual family tree showing ancestors and descendants.
  3. Tap any ancestor to see their details (if they're in AniLedger).
  4. Use "Add Parent" to manually connect parents not yet in your registry.
Pedigree depth depends on your subscription tier:
  • Companion: 2-generation pedigree
  • Homestead: 3-generation pedigree
  • Breeder Pro and above: 5-generation pedigree

📲Lineage Sharing via QR Code

  1. Navigate to the animal's pedigree screen.
  2. Tap "Share Lineage" to generate a QR code.
  3. The other breeder or owner scans this QR code with their AniLedger app.
  4. A lineage pairing request is sent to you for approval.
  5. Once approved, the two animals are linked across registries — shared lineage data flows both ways.

Lineage sharing is powerful for breeders: when you sell a puppy, kitten, or foal, the new owner can scan the QR to instantly inherit the full pedigree in their own AniLedger account.

📅Heat Cycle Tracking

  1. From a female animal's profile, tap "Heat Cycles."
  2. Tap "+ Log Heat Cycle."
  3. Enter the start date and any observations (intensity, behavior changes, duration).
  4. AniLedger tracks the pattern over time to help predict future cycles.

🧪Genetic Compatibility (Breeder Pro)Breeder Pro

Available on Breeder Pro plans and above. When both sire and dam have DNA test results in AniLedger, the app can calculate genetic compatibility:
  • Carrier status comparison for breed-specific conditions
  • Inbreeding coefficient estimation
  • Trait probability predictions
  • Color/coat genetics (where supported)
