Medications & Reminders

Track prescriptions, set dosage alarms, request refills, and connect with pharmacies.

📋Viewing Medications

  1. From the animal's profile, tap the "Medications" tool.
  2. See all active and past medications listed with dosage, frequency, and status.
  3. Active medications appear at the top with a green indicator.
  4. Tap any medication to see full details including start date, end date, prescribing vet, and notes.

➕Adding a Medication

  1. Tap "+ Add Medication" on the medications screen.
  2. Enter the medication name.
  3. Set the dosage amount and unit (mg, mL, tablets, etc.).
  4. Choose the frequency: daily, twice daily, weekly, monthly, or custom schedule.
  5. Set the start date and end date (if applicable).
  6. Add optional notes about administration instructions.
  7. Tap "Save" to add the medication.

⏰Setting Medication Alarms

  1. When adding or editing a medication, toggle "Set Reminder" on.
  2. Choose the reminder time(s) — you can set multiple reminders per day.
  3. AniLedger sends a push notification at each scheduled time.
  4. Tap the notification to open the medication and log that you've administered the dose.

One-tap dose logging from the notification lets you record medication administration instantly without opening the full app.

🔄Requesting Refills

  1. Open the medication detail screen.
  2. Tap "Request Refill."
  3. Select the connected vet practice to send the request to.
  4. Add any notes (e.g., "Need 60-day supply this time").
  5. Tap "Send Request" — your vet will receive the refill request in their portal.
Refill requests are sent directly to your connected veterinary practice through AniLedger's messaging system. Your vet can approve, modify, or deny the request.

🏥Connecting a Pharmacy

  1. Go to Settings and tap "Pharmacies."
  2. Tap "+ Add Pharmacy."
  3. Enter the pharmacy name, phone number, and address.
  4. Your vet can now send prescriptions directly to this pharmacy.
